Currently, there are many types of indexing mechanisms on the market, including video software indexing mechanisms, cam indexing mechanisms, image indexing mechanisms, meat indexing mechanisms, etc., so when looking for products, we must clearly see what kind of indexing mechanism you want.

Because it is a precision instrument, it involves precision issues. One of the main factors affecting indexing accuracy and service life is adjustment. The factory products of the indexing mechanism are obtained through careful assembly and adjustment of precision-machined parts. Improper adjustment will affect the indexing accuracy, impact, and noise, damage the indexing mechanism, and fail to achieve the expected speed and load-bearing capacity. Therefore, the service life of the indexing mechanism is shortened.

There are two aspects to the precision adjustment of the indexing mechanism:

1. Inter-axis distance adjustment:

If there is a gap in the partition in the positioning work area due to long-term use and wear, the gap should be eliminated by adjusting the inter-axis distance. This can be achieved by synchronously adjusting the eccentric covers at both ends of the input shaft.

2. Adjusting the axial position of the input and output:

Adjust the axial position of the cam indexing mechanism by adjusting the locking nuts on both sides of the cam or the bearing covers on both sides of the input shaft. The axial position of the indexing wheel can be adjusted by adjusting the bearing covers at both ends of the output shaft or the locking nut at the rear end.

The indexing mechanism is a precision mechanical device that plays an important role in automated equipment. What should be noted when using an indexing mechanism?

First, pay attention to whether the machining accuracy of the camshaft and indexing plate meets the standard requirements.

Second, the technical requirements during the assembly process. The cam indexing mechanism is very strict in processing and assembly. In the workshop, the workbench needs to be kept clean and free of debris. The technical parameters of the assembly must be met to ensure the verticality of the input shaft and the output shaft.

Then, there is the box. The processing of the cam indexing mechanism housing must ensure the internal installation conditions and precision standards; the outer surface should be smooth, and the chamfers should be free of small holes. Before spraying, use an air gun to blow away debris inside the box and use a flashlight to check for pinholes. Used for future rust prevention. Another key point on the box is that each cam indexing mechanism has its own starting position. The shaft formed on the disc should be parallel to one side of the box, and the cam indexing mechanism should be positioned with screw holes, which requires high precision.

Then, the lubricating oil also needs to be replaced in time. If the lubricating oil of the cam indexing mechanism is not replaced in time, too little or too viscous lubricating oil will accelerate the wear of the cam indexing mechanism and affect the precision.

If necessary, no debris should fall into the cam indexing mechanism. During the assembly process, the debris should be cleaned frequently with an air gun. Each step should be smooth and free of any obstacles.
