The surface meaning of a lifting type indexing mechanism can be roughly understood as a mechanism or software that can divide an object into several parts or segments. This cam mechanism is characterized by high speed, compact structure, stable operation, small torque, and intermittent transmission. It is an ideal mechanism to replace traditional gear mechanisms, with advantages such as high speed, small groove, and stable operation. Working principle of the lifting type indexing mechanism:
The indexing cam installed on the input shaft is connected to the output turntable, and the cam roller radially embedded in the circumferential surface of the output turntable is in linear contact with the conical supporting rib of the cam on its corresponding inclined surface.
When the input shaft rotates, the cam roller rotates the output turntable according to the given displacement curve and rolls along the inclined surface of the rib at the same time. In the area where the rib and the cam end face are balanced, that is, in the static range, the roller is connected to its shaft, but the output turntable itself does not rotate. The conical supporting rib usually contacts two or three cam rollers to evenly transmit the rotation of the input shaft to the output shaft. If there is a rough condition between the cam surface of the conical supporting rib and the cam roller, the indexing mechanism will be damaged. By adjusting the distance between the shafts, the phenomenon of uneven rotation can be eliminated. The pretightening force can be adjusted to be close to the elastic region of the cam roller and the cam, thereby enhancing the rigidity of the indexing mechanism. Its structure and function are the performance of the combination of the indexing cam and the cam roller, which can operate at high speed.
Drive system of the lifting type indexing mechanism:
1. Transmission components connected to the indexing mechanism input shaft include: pulleys, sprockets, synchronous pulleys, gears, couplings, etc.
Due to load pulsation, the camshaft torque has positive and negative changes within one cycle. The cam characteristics can only play a role when the camshaft rotates at a certain speed. Therefore, the torque added to the indexing mechanism due to unstable camshaft rotation will increase significantly, which will have an adverse effect on intermittent motion. Therefore, the camshaft cannot be driven by sliding belts, pulsating chains, and backlash gears. The use of belts or chains must be tightened. The accuracy of gear use should be higher, and meshing clearance should be eliminated. The use of synchronous belts has many advantages: synchronization with other actions; the conveyor belt and pulley not only have friction but also no clearance; small vibration, fast speed; selecting a large-diameter pulley has a good flywheel effect.
Usually, the input shaft of the lifting type indexing mechanism is formed as an axial input key connection structure. During the transmission process, due to the instability of various factors and the pulsation of the driving load, the key connection is easily loosened, and a matching clearance is generated. Causing the input shaft to move discontinuously and generate impact. In this way, not only the connecting pieces are easy to damage its internal cam and roller bearings. Therefore, careful adjustment should be made during connection, and regular inspection should be carried out during use.
2. There are two transmission modes for the output of the lifting type indexing mechanism.
1. Direct drive.
2. Indirect drive. Reverse impact should be avoided as much as possible in indirect drive.
The structures connected to the output end of the indexing mechanism are as follows:
1. Docking with the shaft through a flange or sleeve.
2. The shaft hole uses a key connection.
3. Connection between flanges.
Due to intermittent output, the inertial force from static to motion and from motion to static is very large. Coupled with the assembly clearance of the connector, the output end and the connector are usually easy to loosen. Causing positive pulses or hysteresis of the output transmission components, resulting in vibration.
