The cam on the input shaft of the cam indexer connects to the output turret, and then radially embeds on the cam roller outside the circumference of the output turret. The taper of the cam is supported on its corresponding curved slope for linear contact. Frequency divider movement.
When the input shaft rotates, the cam roller rotates to drive the output turret according to the given displacement curve, while it rolls along the inclined direction of the support rib. In the area where the support rib and the end face of the cam are balanced, that is, within the static range of the cam indexer, the output turret frame itself does not rotate when the roller is in contact with the shaft.
Features and advantages of the cam indexer:
1. The cam drive track of the cam indexer is tightly grounded and formed by a five-axis CNC milling machine. It runs smoothly, stably, accurately positioned, without sliding deviation, and without accumulated tolerance.
2. The cam indexer has high precision, no recoil throughout the process, accurate positioning (within 30 seconds), ultra-low noise, special acceleration and deceleration motion curve, and can rotate at high speed. The cam speed can reach more than 600 RPM and smoothly divide the driver.
3. The cam indexer is made of alloy steel. After carburizing heat treatment, the material is strong and tough. The cam bearing of the output shaft is immersed in oil. Less wear during high-speed operation ensures a long lifespan. Continuous operation can reach more than 12,000 hours without wear.
4. The roller gear type cam indexing mechanism has a simple structure, high reliability, and a near-zero failure rate. The number of equal parts to be divided is large (currently 120 equal parts have been achieved). It can be assembled and installed in any direction and is easy to use.
5. The cam indexer is easy to maintain, and the mechanical transmission mechanism is easier to maintain than the motor rotation. It runs stably and is more stable and reliable than the pneumatic transmission mechanism.
