The splitter itself does not have a drive function; the motor is the main drive source. Different types of splitters are matched with different motors, and their installation methods also differ. What causes the motor surface to overheat?
Generally speaking, in normally used automated systems, especially high-speed splitters, there are two reasons for overheating. One is the splitter itself; this could be due to excessive or insufficient lubricating oil, substandard lubricating oil quality, improper or misaligned bearing connection between the splitter and motor during initial installation, or offset of the connecting plate hole position between the splitter and motor, causing frictional heat.
Another reason is that the end cover and bearing cover are not placed flat during motor installation, gaps contain impurities, etc. Also, if the motor and load coupling are not properly aligned, or the conveyor belt tension is not adjusted correctly (too loose or too tight), this can all lead to motor overheating. If the motor shaft quality does not meet the standard, it is recommended to purchase products from reputable manufacturers when designing automated systems.
The reasons for combined motor overheating are basically as described above. If the motor overheats, address it from these perspectives. For designers and manufacturers, the suggestion is to prioritize brand quality.
